GOrilla Racing track medal

GOrilla Racing, a local company, began sponsoring a series of local track meets in the summer of 2020.

They have a striking logo (seen below) which I thought would look great on a medal which could be awarded at the meets. Based on the shirt logo, I designed a prototype.

The machining ridges seen here are much less apparent in real life. But they still need to be smoothed.

Brass after some hand finishing. Some details (for example, the outside corner of the left eye) could benefit from re-machining with a smaller end mill. The results of using a 0.019” tool are seen in the following image. A bit this small needs to be moved very slowly and takes a long time (~2 hours).
